Ensanada

After many "last" days in San Diego, Matt, Joaquin and I left Mission Bay on Saturday morning around 6:30am after a 24 hour work-a-thon getting the Lone Star ready to sail. Since we had some wind, we decided to sail instead of motor and also make a pass by the Coronado Islands which took longer than anticipated. We had decent wind and even some gusts at night, and made it into Ensanada Harbor around 10 am this morning (Sunday). The sail down was wonderful and very rewarding, with great views of the islands and several run-ins with porpoises. After the last two days with hardly any sleep, we are all very tired and glad to get some solid sleep tonight. We check in with immigration and customes tomorrow and will also run to pick up some last minute supplies before heading to Turtle Bay, some 275 nautical miles from here. We are all very happy to finally be out of San Diego and on our way south. Below are some pictures from our first day.
