Puerto Vallarta

So far we've traveled about 1500 miles! Its a lot less as a straight shot, but on the boat we don't really take a straight path....obviously. We are well into Mexico now and only have about 1300 more miles to go before we hit Guatamala.

We made it to Puerto Vallarta yesterday morning and are staying at Marina Vallarta. This town is a lot of fun and we are enjoying calling friends and family back home. I have also been catching up on my blog posts from my laptop on the boat (they have wireless at the marina). I had time to make a map of our route from San Diego to here, and have uploaded lots of new pictures and a video of catching yellowfin tuna on Thursday. Below is a photo from a bar built on top of an old bell tower in the marina. The views were spectacular from the top, but our cheap butts only stayed for a couple beers then went back for happy hour on the Lone Star.
Last night we took a cab down to Centro Puerto Vallarta (downtown) and cruised around the beach boardwalk. We stopped by a street show being put on by a mime and Matt even volunteered to participate, here's a photo of the skit. Joaquin and I were cracking up the whole time. Mimes are weird people, for sure.

This is a picture of the church right off the boardwalk.
Next I'm going to put up some underwater photos I got from Joaquin. His purchase of an underwater camera is really going to start paying off now that we'll be in the water a lot more since its warm this far south.
