So I´ve been in Costa Rica for over a week now. Haven´t posted in a while cause I wanted to surprise Erika in San Jose when she arrived and wanted her to think I wasn´t in the country. Then we were off tromping through the rainforest and too busy enjoying our time together to be on a computer. Erika and I got back to San Jose last night and she left this morning...I am super bummed. Here's what we did for the last week.
I guess Peninsula de Osa has crocs! Okay, noted!
We spent the majority of our time in Peninsula de Osa, which contains the Corcovado National Park. We took a bus from San Jose to Puerto Jimenez, the gateway to the park.
A little blurry, but you get the point, we were drenched. I know Erika´s gonna kill me for this one...sorry babe.
These Coti were friendly.
Gorgeous views were par for this hike.
This 6+ foot long snake was sitting a foot off the trail and I passed right by it before Erika spotted it and yelled at me to come back and look. This is the wild rainforest of Costa Rica!

Our hike in started in Carate, and it was 2 miles to get to the park entrance. Then another 12 miles to get to Sirena Ranger station. Here are some pictures of the hike in...

In Dominical they even have a Thrusters Bar. Jen Paul you are missing out.
